 ਜੈਤਸਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ ਜਾ ਕਉ ਭਏ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਸਹਾਈ ॥ ਸੂਖ ਸਹਜ ਆਨੰਦ ਸਗਲ ਸਿਉ ਵਾ ਕਉ ਬਿਆਧਿ ਨ ਕਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ਦੀਸਹਿ ਸਭ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਹਹਿ ਅਲੇਪਾ ਨਹ ਵਿਆਪੈ ਉਨ ਮਾਈ ॥ ਏਕੈ ਰੰਗਿ ਤਤ ਕੇ ਬੇਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਬੁਧਿ ਪਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਦਇਆ ਮਇਆ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਕੀ ਸੇਈ ਸੰਤ ਸੁਭਾਈ ॥ ਤਿਨ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਿਸਤਰੀਐ ਜਿਨ ਰਸਿ ਰਸਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਈ ॥੨॥੩॥੭॥

ਜੈਤਸਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥

ਅਰਥ: ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਮਦਦਗਾਰ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ) ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖਾਂ ਆਨੰਦਾਂ ਨਾਲ (ਬੀਤਦੀ ਹੈ) ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਰੋਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੋਂਹਦਾ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ (ਵਰਤਦੇ) ਦਿੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਉਹ (ਮਾਇਆ ਤੋਂ) ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਮਾਇਆ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾ ਸਕਦੀ। ਉਹ ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਅਸਲੀਅਤ ਦੇ ਜਾਣਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ-ਇਹ ਅਕਲ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਈ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।੧।

ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਭਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਾਲੇ ਸੰਤ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਮੇਹਰ ਦਇਆ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਈਦਾ ਹੈ।੨।੩।੭।

Meaning: O brother! Those people for whom God becomes a helper (their life) (passes) with all the comforts and joys of spiritual stability, no disease befalls them.1.Rahau.

O brother! Those people are seen (behaving) with everyone, but they remain detached (from Maya), Maya cannot exert its power over them. They remain steadfast in the love of the one God, they become those who know the reality of life - this intelligence is acquired by them from the Guru.1.

O Nanak! Those people become saints with hearts full of love, on whom the grace and mercy of the Lord-Master are bestowed. Those people who always sing the praises of God with love, remain in their company and cross over the ocean of the world.2.3.7.
