ਸੋਰਠਿ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ॥ ਸੋ ਸਿਖੁ ਸਖਾ ਬੰਧਪੁ ਹੈ ਭਾਈ ਜਿ ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਭਾਣੇ ਵਿਚਿ ਆਵੈ ॥ ਆਪਣੈ ਭਾਣੈ ਜੋ ਚਲੈ ਭਾਈ ਵਿਛੁੜਿ ਚੋਟਾ ਖਾਵੈ ॥ ਬਿਨੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸੁਖੁ ਕਦੇ ਨ ਪਾਵੈ ਭਾਈ ਫਿਰਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਪਛੋਤਾਵੈ ॥੧॥ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਦਾਸ ਸੁਹੇਲੇ ਭਾਈ ॥ ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਕਿਲਬਿਖ ਦੁਖ ਕਾਟੇ ਆਪੇ ਮੇਲਿ ਮਿਲਾਈ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ਇਹੁ ਕੁਟੰਬੁ ਸਭੁ ਜੀਅ ਕੇ ਬੰਧਨ ਭਾਈ ਭਰਮਿ ਭੁਲਾ ਸੈਂਸਾਰਾ ॥ ਬਿਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਬੰਧਨ ਟੂਟਹਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮੋਖ ਦੁਆਰਾ ॥ ਕਰਮ ਕਰਹਿ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੁ ਨ ਪਛਾਣਹਿ ਮਰਿ ਜਨਮਹਿ ਵਾਰੋ ਵਾਰਾ ॥੨॥ ਹਉ ਮੇਰਾ ਜਗੁ ਪਲਚਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਭਾਈ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਕਿਸ ਹੀ ਕੇਰਾ ॥ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮਹਲੁ ਪਾਇਨਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਨਿ ਨਿਜ ਘਰਿ ਹੋਇ ਬਸੇਰਾ ॥ ਐਥੈ ਬੂਝੈ ਸੁ ਆਪੁ ਪਛਾਣੈ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਹੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਕੇਰਾ ॥੩॥ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਸਦਾ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਹੈ ਭਾਈ ਵਿਣੁ ਭਾਗਾ ਕਿਆ ਪਾਈਐ ॥ ਏਕ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਵੇਖੈ ਸਭ ਊਪਰਿ ਜੇਹਾ ਭਾਉ ਤੇਹਾ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਈਐ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਸੈ ਮਨ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਆਪੁ ਗਵਾਈਐ ॥੪॥੬॥ ਅਰਥ: ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਭਗਤ ਸੁਖੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਬਿਤੀਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਨਮਾਂ ਜਨਮਾਂ ਦੇਦੁੱਖ ਪਾਪ ਕੱਟ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।ਰਹਾਉ। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਸਿੱਖ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇਦਾਰ ਹੈ, ਜੇਹੜਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਵਿਚ ਤੁਰਦਾਹੈ। ਪਰ, ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਰਜ਼ੀ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਤੁਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੋਂ ਵਿੱਛੁੜ ਕੇ ਦੁਖ ਸਹਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨਪੈਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਕਦੇ ਸੁਖ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾ ਸਕਦਾ, ਤੇ ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ (ਦੁੱਖੀ ਹੋ ਕੇ) ਪਛੁਤਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।੧। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਵਿਚ ਤੁਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ) ਇਹ (ਆਪਣਾ) ਪਰਵਾਰ ਭੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਨਿਰਾ ਮੋਹ ਦੇ ਬੰਧਨ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾਹੈ, (ਤਾਂਹੀਏਂ) ਜਗਤ (ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ) ਭਟਕ ਕੇ ਕੁਰਾਹੇ ਪਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਆਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਇਹ ਬੰਧਨ ਟੁੱਟਦੇਨਹੀਂ। ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਮੋਹ ਦੇ ਬੰਧਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਖ਼ਲਾਸੀ ਪਾਣ ਦਾ ਰਸਤਾ ਲੱਭ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨਿਰੇਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ-ਧੰਧੇ ਹੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਂਦੇ, ਉਹ ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਜੰਮਦੇ ਮਰਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।੨। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! 'ਮੈਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਹਾਂ', 'ਇਹ ਧਨ ਆਦਿਕ ਮੇਰਾ ਹੈ'-ਇਸ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਜਗਤ ਉਲਝਿਆ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ (ਉਂਞ) ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਦਾ(ਸਦਾ ਦਾ ਸਾਥੀ) ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣ ਸਕਦਾ। ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤੇ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰੀ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ (ਆਤਮਕ) ਨਿਵਾਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਹੋਇਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇਸ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ (ਇਸ ਭੇਤ ਨੂੰ) ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਨੂੰ ਪੜਤਾਲਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾਹੈ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਸਹਾਈ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।੩। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਹੀ ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਮਾਇਆ-ਵੇੜ੍ਹਿਆ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ) ਕਿਸਮਤਿਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ (ਗੁਰੂ ਪਾਸੋਂ) ਕੀਹ ਮਿਲੇ? ਗੁਰੂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਪਿਆਰ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ। (ਪਰ ਸਾਡੀ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੀ) ਜਿਹੋ ਜਿਹੀ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਉਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਫਲ (ਸਾਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਪਾਸੋਂ) ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇਆਪਣੇ) ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਆਪਾ-ਭਾਵ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਲਈਏ, ਤਾਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ।੪।੬। SORAT’H, THIRD MEHL:

He alone is a Sikh, a friend, a relative and a sibling, who walks in the Way of the Guru’s Will. One who walks according to his own will, O Siblings of Destiny, suffers separation from the Lord, and shall be punished. Without the True Guru, peace is never obtained, O Siblings of Destiny; again and again, he regrets and repents. || 1 || The Lord’s slaves are happy, O Siblings of Destiny. The sins and sorrows of countless lifetimes are eradicated; the Lord Himself unites them in His Union. || Pause || All of these relatives are like chains upon the soul, O Siblings of Destiny; the world is deluded by doubt. Without the Guru, the chains cannot be broken; the Gurmukhs find the door of salvation. One who performs rituals without realizing the Word of the Guru’s Shabad, shall die and be reborn, again and again. || 2 || The world is entangled in egotism and possessiveness, O Siblings of Destiny, but no one belongs to anyone else. The Gurmukhs attain the Mansion of the Lord’s Presence, singing the Glories of the Lord; they dwell in the home of their own inner being. One who understands here, realizes himself; the Lord God belongs to him. || 3 || The True Guru is forever merciful, O Siblings of Destiny; without good destiny, what can anyone obtain? He looks alike upon all with His Glance of Grace, but people receive the fruits of their rewards according to their love for the Lord. O Nanak, when the Naam, the Name of the Lord, comes to dwell within the mind, then self-conceit is eradicated from within. || 4 || 6 ||

#Today's hukamnama#Translation Hukamnama Sahib in English Thank you very much for listening and watching on @GSJhampur.Actually the main purpose of this channel is to provide real information and motivate those who are in the depression or feeling loneliness. Myself Gurjit Singh Jhampur was living in the USA and diagnosed with the colon cancer in Feb 2010. Due to my faith in  the Darbar Sahib Amritsar.I decided to move to India to visit Golden Temple. Which was not advised by the doctor. He asked me for chemo but I did not obey his advise and visited Golden Temple on March 22, 2010 and Guru Ram Dass saved me from that decease. Now still I have stiffness and pain but surving and cycling and vlogging and doing podcast at www.anchor.fm under  Audio Gurbani.  I have not motive to become famous or make money but I want to spread the message of Sri Guru Ram Dass ji that if you have strong believe in the place where are you are visiting to redress you problems you must have will power too. Then visit with full devotion the Kirpa of the Guru would be bestowed upon you. It is the game of believe and will power. Those who still waiting for that someone come to you to take you along with him to visit Golden Temple.  Please try,"where there is a will there is a way".

'ਮੈਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਹਾਂ', 'ਇਹ ਧਨ ਆਦਿਕ ਮੇਰਾ ਹੈ'-ਇਸ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਜਗਤ ਉਲਝਿਆ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ (ਉਂਞ) ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਦਾ(ਸਦਾ ਦਾ ਸਾਥੀ) ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣ ਸਕਦਾ। ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤੇ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰੀ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ (ਆਤਮਕ) ਨਿਵਾਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਹੋਇਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇਸ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ (ਇਸ ਭੇਤ ਨੂੰ) ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਨੂੰ ਪੜਤਾਲਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾਹੈ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਸਹਾਈ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।੩। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਹੀ ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਮਾਇਆ-ਵੇੜ੍ਹਿਆ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ) ਕਿਸਮਤਿਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ (ਗੁਰੂ ਪਾਸੋਂ) ਕੀਹ ਮਿਲੇ? ਗੁਰੂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਪਿਆਰ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ। (ਪਰ ਸਾਡੀ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੀ) ਜਿਹੋ ਜਿਹੀ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਉਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਫਲ (ਸਾਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਪਾਸੋਂ) ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇਆਪਣੇ) ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਆਪਾ-ਭਾਵ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਲਈਏ, ਤਾਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ।੪।੬। SORAT’H, THIRD MEHL:

He alone is a Sikh, a friend, a relative and a sibling, who walks in the Way of the Guru’s Will. One who walks according to his own will, O Siblings of Destiny, suffers separation from the Lord, and shall be punished. Without the True Guru, peace is never obtained, O Siblings of Destiny; again and again, he regrets and repents. || 1 || The Lord’s slaves are happy, O Siblings of Destiny. The sins and sorrows of countless lifetimes are eradicated; the Lord Himself unites them in His Union. || Pause || All of these relatives are like chains upon the soul, O Siblings of Destiny; the world is deluded by doubt. Without the Guru, the chains cannot be broken; the Gurmukhs find the door of salvation. One who performs rituals without realizing the Word of the Guru’s Shabad, shall die and be reborn, again and again. || 2 || The world is entangled in egotism and possessiveness, O Siblings of Destiny, but no one belongs to anyone else. The Gurmukhs attain the Mansion of the Lord’s Presence, singing the Glories of the Lord; they dwell in the home of their own inner being. One who understands here, realizes himself; the Lord God belongs to him. || 3 || The True Guru is forever merciful, O Siblings of Destiny; without good destiny, what can anyone obtain? He looks alike upon all with His Glance of Grace, but people receive the fruits of their rewards according to their love for the Lord. O Nanak, when the Naam, the Name of the Lord, comes to dwell within the mind, then self-conceit is eradicated from within. || 4 || 6 ||

#Today's hukamnama#Translation Hukamnama Sahib in English Thank you very much for listening and watching on @GSJhampur.Actually the main purpose of this channel is to provide real information and motivate those who are in the depression or feeling loneliness. Myself Gurjit Singh Jhampur was living in the USA and diagnosed with the colon cancer in Feb 2010. Due to my faith in  the Darbar Sahib Amritsar.I decided to move to India to visit Golden Temple. Which was not advised by the doctor. He asked me for chemo but I did not obey his advise and visited Golden Temple on March 22, 2010 and Guru Ram Dass saved me from that decease. Now still I have stiffness and pain but surving and cycling and vlogging and doing podcast at www.anchor.fm under  Audio Gurbani.  I have not motive to become famous or make money but I want to spread the message of Sri Guru Ram Dass ji that if you have strong believe in the place where are you are visiting to redress you problems you must have will power too. Then visit with full devotion the Kirpa of the Guru would be bestowed upon you. It is the game of believe and will power. ਅਰਥ: ਹੇ (ਮੇਰੇ ਗਾਫ਼ਲ ਮਨ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹੁ, ਤੈਨੂੰ ਉਹੀ ਫਲ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਏਗਾ ਜੇਹੜਾ ਤੂੰ ਮੰਗੇਂਗਾ। (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਉ) ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਤੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਰਸ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲਏਂਗਾ, ਤੇ, ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਰਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੀਂਦਾ ਰਹੇਂਗਾ, ਤਾਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਰਹੇਗਾ।1। ਰਹਾਉ।

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਕ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਅਕਲ (ਮਾਇਆ-ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ) ਡੋਲਣੋਂ ਹਟ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ (ਇਹ ਭੇਤ) ਸਮਝ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਚਿੱਤ ਜੋੜਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।1।

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਪਾਰਸ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਉਹ ਹੋਰ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੀ ਉੱਚੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਬਣਾਣ-ਜੋਗਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ) , ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਪਾਰਸ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਦੋਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਆਦਰ-ਮਾਣ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੇਹੜਾ ਭੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਆਦਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ (ਉੱਚਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ-ਰੂਪ) ਫਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। (ਪਾਰਸ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਚੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ) ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ, ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ ਅਕਲ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ।2।

(ਪਰ, ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਪਾਰਸ ਬਣਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ (ਦੁਨੀਆ ਪਾਸੋਂ) ਆਦਰ-ਮਾਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ, (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਆਪਣਾ ਮਨ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਤੀਜਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ) ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪ ਤਾਂ ਗਿਆਨ ਤੋਂ ਸੱਖਣਾ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਤਾਂ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਅੰਨ੍ਹਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਖਵਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਨੂੰ (ਸਹੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ) ਰਸਤੇ ਉਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾ ਸਕਦਾ।3।

ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇ ਵੱਸ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕੁਝ ਭੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ (ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਦਾਤਿ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦੀ)। ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਤੇ ਮੇਹਰ ਦੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇਹ ਦਾਤਿ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ) ਵਡਿਆਈ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਵਸਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।4।

GUJRI, THIRD MEHL:

That humble being who eliminates his ego is at peace; he is blessed with an ever-stable intellect. That humble being is immaculately pure, who, as Gurmukh, understands the Lord, and focuses his consciousness on the Lord’s Feet. || 1 || O my unconscious mind, remain conscious of the Lord, and you shall obtain the fruits of your desires. By Guru’s Grace, you shall obtain the sublime elixir of the Lord; by continually drinking it in, you shall have eternal peace. || 1 || Pause || When one meets the True Guru, he becomes the philosopher’s stone, with the ability to transform others, inspiring them to worship the Lord. One who worships the Lord in adoration, obtains his rewards; instructing others, he reveals the Truth. || 2 || Without becoming the philosopher’s stone, he does not inspire others to worship the Lord; without instructing his own mind, how can he instruct others? The ignorant, blind man calls himself the guru, but to whom can he show the way? || 3 || O Nanak, without His Mercy, nothing can be obtained. One upon whom He casts His Glance of Grace, obtains Him. By Guru’s Grace, God bestows greatness, and projects the Word of His Shabad. || 4 || 5 || 7 ||

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਦੇਵਤਾ (ਹੈ, ਅਸੀ ਜੀਵ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਹਾਂ) ਆਪਣੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਆਪ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਦਾ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ। (ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ, ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਦੇ ਸੁਖ ਆਨੰਦ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ-ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ ਘਾਲ ਸਫਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ (ਸਭ ਤੋਂ) ਵੱਡਾ ਤੇਜ-ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਰਜ਼ੋਈ (ਸਦਾ) ਸੁਣੀ ਹੈ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਰੋਗ ਮਿਟਾ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਦਾਤਿ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੀ ਹੈ।੧।

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਅਸਾਂ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਐਬ ਸਦਾ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਭਰੀ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਅਸਾਂ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਮਨ-ਮੰਗੇ ਫਲ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ, ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।੨।੧੬।੮੦।

Hey brother! God is the greatest god (he is, we creatures are his children) He has always protected his children. (Those people who take refuge in him, within them) peace, spiritual stability, happiness and joy arise, their service-meditation becomes successful. 1. Stay. Hey brother! The Lord who has (the most) glory has heard the pleas of his devotees (forever) and has given them the gift of spiritual life by eradicating the disease (from them). 1.

Hey brother! That Lord-Father has blessed us children forever, and has filled us with the power of His name. O Nanak! The Lord-Father has always given us children the fruits we want, we should always be grateful to that Lord. 2.16.80.

ਸਲੋਕ ਮਃ ੩ ॥ ਜਗਤੁ ਜਲੰਦਾ ਰਖਿ ਲੈ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰਿ ॥ ਜਿਤੁ ਦੁਆਰੈ ਉਬਰੈ ਤਿਤੈ ਲੈਹੁ ਉਬਾਰਿ ॥

ਸਲੋਕ ਮਃ ੩ ॥ ਜਗਤੁ ਜਲੰਦਾ ਰਖਿ ਲੈ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰਿ ॥ ਜਿਤੁ ਦੁਆਰੈ ਉਬਰੈ ਤਿਤੈ ਲੈਹੁ ਉਬਾਰਿ ॥ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਵੇਖਾਲਿਆ ਸਚਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਬੀਚਾਰਿ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਸੁਝਈ ਹਰਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਬਖਸਣਹਾਰੁ ॥੧॥

ਅਰਥ: ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਸੜ ਰਹੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਬਚਾ ਲੈ, ਜਿਸ ਭੀ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਬਚ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਚਾ ਲੈ।

ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾ ਕੇ (ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ) ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ (ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦਾ) ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਵਿਖਾਲ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸਮਝ ਆ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਇਹ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।੧।

ਮਃ ੩ ॥ ਹਉਮੈ ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹਣੀ ਦੂਜੈ ਲਗੈ ਜਾਇ ॥ ਨਾ ਇਹ ਮਾਰੀ ਨ ਮਰੈ ਨਾ ਇਹ ਹਟਿ ਵਿਕਾਇ ॥ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਪਰਜਾਲੀਐ ਤਾ ਇਹ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਜਾਇ ॥ ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਉਜਲਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਸੈ ਮਨਿ ਆਇ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਮਾਇਆ ਕਾ ਮਾਰਣੁ ਸਬਦੁ ਹੈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾਇ ॥੨॥

ਅਰਥ: ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਹਉਮੈ (ਸਾਰੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਨੂੰ) ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਸ ਵਿਚ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਸਮਰਥਾ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ, (ਇਸ ਦੇ ਅਸਰ ਹੇਠ ਜੀਵ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸਾਰ ਕੇ) ਹੋਰ (ਦੇ ਮੋਹ) ਵਿਚ ਜਾ ਫਸਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਹਉਮੈ ਨਾਹ (ਕਿਸੇ ਪਾਸੋਂ) ਮਾਰੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ, ਨਾਹ ਹੀ ਇਹ ਆਪ ਮਰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਨਾਹ ਹੀ ਇਹ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੱਟੀ ਤੇ ਵੇਚੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜਦੋਂ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾੜ ਦੇਈਏ, ਤਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਇਹ (ਜੀਵ ਦੇ) ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਮੁੱਕਦੀ ਹੈ। (ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਹਉਮੈ ਮੁੱਕਦੀ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦਾ) ਤਨ (ਉਸ ਦਾ) ਮਨ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਆ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਹੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਮੁਕਾਣ ਦਾ ਵਸੀਲਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ, ਇਹ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਿਆਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।੨।

ਪਉੜੀ ॥ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਦਿਤੀ ਧੁਰਹੁ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਬੁਝਿ ਨੀਸਾਣੁ ॥ ਪੁਤੀ ਭਾਤੀਈ ਜਾਵਾਈ ਸਕੀ ਅਗਹੁ ਪਿਛਹੁ ਟੋਲਿ ਡਿਠਾ ਲਾਹਿਓਨੁ ਸਭਨਾ ਕਾ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੁ ॥ ਜਿਥੈ ਕੋ ਵੇਖੈ ਤਿਥੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਹਰਿ ਬਖਸਿਓਸੁ ਸਭੁ ਜਹਾਨੁ ॥ ਜਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨੋ ਮਿਲਿ ਮੰਨੇ ਸੁ ਹਲਤਿ ਪਲਤਿ ਸਿਝੈ ਜਿ ਵੇਮੁਖੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਸੁ ਫਿਰੈ ਭਰਿਸਟ ਥਾਨੁ ॥ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੈ ਵਲਿ ਹੋਆ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹਰਿ ਸਜਣ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਸੁਜਾਨੁ ॥ ਪਉਦੀ ਭਿਤਿ ਦੇਖਿ ਕੈ ਸਭਿ ਆਇ ਪਏ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਪੈਰੀ ਲਾਹਿਓਨੁ ਸਭਨਾ ਕਿਅਹੁ ਮਨਹੁ ਗੁਮਾਨੁ ॥੧੦॥

ਅਰਥ: (ਜਿਹੜੀ) ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਗੁਰੂ (ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਜੀ) ਦੀ (ਹੋਈ, ਉਹ) ਗੁਰੂ (ਅੰਗਦ ਸਾਹਿਬ) ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਤੋਂ (ਮਿਲਿਆ) ਹੁਕਮ ਸਮਝ ਕੇ ਪਰਵਾਨਾ ਸਮਝ ਕੇ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੇ, ਭਤੀਜਿਆਂ ਨੇ, ਜਵਾਈਆਂ ਨੇ, ਹੋਰ ਸੱਕੇ ਸਾਕ ਅੰਗਾਂ ਨੇ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਰਖ ਕੇ ਵੇਖ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ (ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ) ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਣ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ) ਸਾਰੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਨੂੰ (ਨਾਮ ਦੀ) ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ; ਜਿੱਥੇ ਭੀ ਕੋਈ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਥੇ ਹੀ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਗੁਰੂ (ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਦਾਤਿ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਮੌਜੂਦ) ਹੈ। ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਪਤੀਜਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਤੇ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਕਾਮਯਾਬ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਵਲੋਂ ਮੂੰਹ ਮੋੜਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਭਟਕਦਾ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਹਿਰਦਾ-ਥਾਂ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ) ਗੰਦਾ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਆਖ-) ਸਭ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੀ ਜਾਣਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਸਭ ਦਾ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਸਭ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਦੇ ਪੱਖ ਤੇ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੋਂ) ਆਤਮਕ ਖ਼ੁਰਾਕ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਚਰਨੀਂ ਆ ਲੱਗੇ। ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਤੋਂ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।੧੦।

O Lord! In vices) save the decaying world by your mercy, save it in whatever way you can. O Nanak! By instilling in the mind the praises of the ever-changing Lord, (to whom) the Satguru has shown the spiritual joy (of meditation), he understands that there is none other than God who is the bestower of this. 1.

Hey brother! Maya's ego is capable of controlling (the whole world), (under its influence the living being forgets God) and falls into other (love). This ego cannot be killed (by any side), nor does it die itself, nor can it be sold to anyone. When we burn it thoroughly through the Guru's word, only then does it disappear from within (the organism). (O brother! The person from whom the ego of maya is removed) his body (his) mind becomes pure, the name of God dwells in his mind.

O Nanak! The Guru's word is the means to show the effect of Maya, and this word is found in the Guru's head. 2.

(Which) honor Guru (Amardas Ji) (was, that) Guru (Angad Sahib) gave (to them) as a command (received) from the presence of God. Sons, nephews, sons-in-law, other able-bodied members had thoroughly tested and seen (the Guru) removed the pride of all.

Hey brother! God has bestowed (the name of) the whole world (through the Guru); Wherever one looks there is the Beloved Guru (present to bestow the gift of Name). The person who meets the Guru becomes successful in this world and the Hereafter, but the person who turns away from the Guru wanders, his heart remains dirty (with vices). O Nanak! Aha-) The knower of all hearts, the friend of all, the omnipresent Lord abides by His servant's side.

Hey brother! Seeing spiritual food from the Guru's door, all the people came to the Guru's feet. The Guru removed the ego from everyone's mind. 10.
