 ਸੋਰਠਿ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ॥ ਭਗਤਿ ਖਜਾਨਾ ਭਗਤਨ ਕਉ ਦੀਆ ਨਾਉ ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਸਚੁ ਸੋਇ ॥ ਅਖੁਟੁ ਨਾਮ ਧਨੁ ਕਦੇ ਨਿਖੁਟੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਕਿਨੈ ਨ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਹੋਇ ॥ ਨਾਮ ਧਨਿ ਮੁਖ ਉਜਲੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਸਚੁ ਸੋਇ ॥੧॥ ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੀ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾਇ ॥ ਬਿਨੁ ਸਬਦੈ ਜਗੁ ਭੁਲਦਾ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਦਰਗਹ ਮਿਲੈ ਸਜਾਇ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ਇਸੁ ਦੇਹੀ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਪੰਚ ਚੋਰ ਵਸਹਿ ਕਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਲੋਭੁ ਮੋਹੁ ਅਹੰਕਾਰਾ ॥ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਲੂਟਹਿ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਨਹੀ ਬੂਝਹਿ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਸੁਣੈ ਪੂਕਾਰਾ ॥ ਅੰਧਾ ਜਗਤੁ ਅੰਧੁ ਵਰਤਾਰਾ ਬਾਝੁ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੁਬਾਰਾ ॥੨॥ ਹਉਮੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਕਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਵਿਗੁਤੇ ਕਿਹੁ ਚਲੈ ਨ ਚਲਦਿਆ ਨਾਲਿ ॥ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਸੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਵੈ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਮਾਲਿ ॥ ਸਚੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ਨਦਰੀ ਨਦਰਿ ਨਿਹਾਲਿ ॥੩॥ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਸਦਾ ਘਟਿ ਚਾਨਣੁ ਅਮਰੁ ਸਿਰਿ ਬਾਦਿਸਾਹਾ ॥ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰਹਿ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਚੁ ਲਾਹਾ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮਿ ਨਿਸਤਾਰਾ ਸਬਦਿ ਰਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਹਾ ॥੪॥੨॥

ਅਰਥ: ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਹੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਮਿਲ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸ਼ਬਦ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਜਗਤ ਕੁਰਾਹੇ ਪਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਭਟਕਦਾ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਅਗਾਂਹ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਵਿਚ ਦੰਡ ਸਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।ਰਹਾਉ।

(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ) ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਐਸਾ ਧਨ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ-ਧਨ ਕਦੇ ਮੁੱਕਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ, ਇਹ ਧਨ ਕਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੁੱਕਦਾ, ਕਿਸੇ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਲ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ (ਭਾਵ, ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇਸ ਧਨ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਨਿਆਵੀ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਖ਼ਰੀਦ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ) । ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਹਰਿ-ਧਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਨਾਮ-ਧਨ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ (ਲੋਕ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ) ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ।੧।

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਇਸ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਲੋਭ ਮੋਹ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਪੰਜ ਚੋਰ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ, (ਇਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾਮ-ਧਨ ਲੁੱਟਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇਹ ਸਮਝਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ। (ਜਦੋਂ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਲੁਟਾ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਦੁੱਖੀ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤਾਂ) ਕੋਈ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੁਕਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣਦਾ (ਕੋਈ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ) । ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਅੰਨ੍ਹਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਜਗਤ ਅੰਨਿ੍ਹਆਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਕਰਤੂਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਖੁੰਝ ਕੇ (ਇਸ ਦੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਵਿਚ) ਹਨੇਰਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।੨।

'ਮੈਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਹਾਂ', 'ਇਹ ਧਨ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਮੇਰਾ ਹੈ'-ਇਹ ਆਖ ਆਖ ਕੇ (ਮਾਇਆ-ਵੇੜ੍ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਖ਼ੁਆਰ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਜਗਤ ਤੋਂ ਤੁਰਨ ਵੇਲੇ ਕੋਈ ਚੀਜ਼ ਭੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਤੁਰਦੀ। ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਦੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੀ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।੩।

ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਿਆ ਗਿਆਨ ਸਦਾ ਚਾਨਣ ਕਰੀ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ (ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ) ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਉਤੇ (ਭੀ) ਚੱਲਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਲਾਭ ਖੱਟਦੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ-ਉਤਾਰਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ।੪।੨।

SORAT’H, THIRD MEHL:

The True Lord has blessed His devotees with the treasure of devotional worship, and the wealth of the Lord’s Name. The wealth of the Naam, shall never be exhausted; no one can estimate its worth. With the wealth of the Naam, their faces are radiant, and they attain the True Lord. || 1 || O my mind, through the Word of the Guru’s Shabad, the Lord is found. Without the Shabad, the world wanders around, and receives its punishment in the Court of the Lord. || Pause || Within this body dwell the five thieves: sexual desire, anger, greed, emotional attachment and egotism. They plunder the Nectar, but the self-willed manmukh does not realize it; no one hears his complaint. The world is blind, and its dealings are blind as well; without the Guru, there is only pitch darkness. || 2 || Indulging in egotism and possessiveness, they are ruined; when they depart, nothing goes along with them. But one who becomes Gurmukh meditates on the Naam, and ever contemplates the Lord’s Name. Through the True Word of Gurbani, he sings the Glorious Praises of the Lord; blessed with the Lord’s Glance of Grace, he is enraptured. || 3 || The spiritual wisdom of the True Guru is a steady light within the heart. The Lord’s decree is over the heads of even kings. Night and day, the Lord’s devotees worship Him; night and day, they gather in the true profit of the Lord’s Name. O Nanak, through the Lord’s Name, one is emancipated; attuned to the Shabad, he finds the Lord. || 4 || 2 ||

The daily Hukamnama sahib from Sri Darbar Sahib Amritsar including Punjabi and English translation audio ਸਲੋਕੁ ਮਃ ੩ ॥ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਜੋ ਮੁਹ ਫਿਰੇ ਸੇ ਬਧੇ ਦੁਖ ਸਹਾਹਿ ॥ ਫਿਰਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਮਿਲਣੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਨੀ ਜੰਮਹਿ ਤੈ ਮਰਿ ਜਾਹਿ ॥ ਸਹਸਾ ਰੋਗੁ ਨ ਛੋਡਈ ਦੁਖ ਹੀ ਮਹਿ ਦੁਖ ਪਾਹਿ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਦਰੀ ਬਖਸਿ ਲੇਹਿ ਸਬਦੇ ਮੇਲਿ ਮਿਲਾਹਿ ॥੧॥ ਅਰਥ: ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਵਲੋਂ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਹਨ, ਉਹ (ਅੰਤ ਨੂੰ) ਬੱਧੇ ਦੁਖ ਸਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੇ, ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਜੰਮਦੇ ਤੇ ਮਰਦੇ ਹਨ; ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਦਾ ਰੋਗ ਕਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਛੱਡਦਾ, ਸਦਾ ਦੁਖੀ ਹੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ-ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਵਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ ਲਏ ਤਾਂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਉਸ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।੧। ਮਃ ੩ ॥ ਜੋ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਮੁਹ ਫਿਰੇ ਤਿਨਾ ਠਉਰ ਨ ਠਾਉ ॥ ਜਿਉ ਛੁਟੜਿ ਘਰਿ ਘਰਿ ਫਿਰੈ ਦੁਹਚਾਰਣਿ ਬਦਨਾਉ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਬਖਸੀਅਹਿ ਸੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਮੇਲਿ ਮਿਲਾਉ ॥੨॥ ਅਰਥ: ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਹਨ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਹ ਥਾਂ ਨਾਹ ਥਿੱਤਾ; ਉਹ ਵਿਭ-ਚਾਰਨ ਛੁੱਟੜ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਘਰ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਬਦਨਾਮ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਫਿਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੋ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।੨। ਪਉੜੀ ॥ ਜੋ ਸੇਵਹਿ ਸਤਿ ਮੁਰਾਰਿ ਸੇ ਭਵਜਲ ਤਰਿ ਗਇਆ ॥ ਜੋ ਬੋਲਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਉ ਤਿਨ ਜਮੁ ਛਡਿ ਗਇਆ ॥ ਸੇ ਦਰਗਹ ਪੈਧੇ ਜਾਹਿ ਜਿਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿ ਲਇਆ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵਹਿ ਸੇਈ ਪੁਰਖ ਜਿਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਤੁਧੁ ਮਇਆ ॥ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਾ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਨਿਤ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਭ੍ਰਮ ਭਉ ਗਇਆ ॥੭॥  ਅਰਥ: ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੱਚੇ ਹਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੇਂਵਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਤਰ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਮ ਛੱਡ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ; ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਵਿਚ ਸਨਮਾਨੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ; (ਪਰ) ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਤੇਰੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਭਰਮ ਤੇ ਡਰ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, (ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ) ਹੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ! ਮੈਂ ਭੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਦਾ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਾਂ।੭।  SHALOK THIRD MEHL:  Those who turn their faces away from the True Guru, suffer in sorrow and bondage. Again and again, they are born only to die; they cannot meet their Lord. The disease of doubt does not depart, and they find only pain and more pain. O Nanak, if the Gracious Lord forgives, then one is united in Union with the Word of the Shabad. || 1 || THIRD MEHL: Those who turn their faces away from the True Guru, shall find no place of rest or shelter. They wander around from door to door, like a woman forsaken, with a bad character and a bad reputation. O Nanak, the Gurmukhs are forgiven, and united in Union with the True Guru. || 2 || PAUREE: Those who serve the True Lord, the Destroyer of ego, cross over the terrifying world-ocean. Those who chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, are passed over by the Messenger of Death. Those who meditate on the Lord, go to His Court in robes of honor. They alone serve You, O Lord, whom You bless with Grace. The daily Hukamnama sahib from Sri Darbar Sahib Amritsar including English And Punjabi audio ਧਨਾਸਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਭਈ ਸਚੁ ਭੋਜਨੁ ਖਾਇਆ ॥ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਰਸਨਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥੧॥ ਜੀਵਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਵਨਾ ॥ ਜੀਵਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ਅਨਿਕ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰੀ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਓਢਾਏ ॥ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਏ ॥੨॥ ਹਸਤੀ ਰਥ ਅਸੁ ਅਸਵਾਰੀ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਮਾਰਗੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਨਿਹਾਰੀ ॥੩॥ ਮਨ ਤਨ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਚਰਨ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਸੁਖ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੨॥੫੬॥  ਅਰਥ: ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ (ਬੈਠ ਕੇ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆ ਕਰੋ-ਇਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਸਲ ਜੀਵਨ, ਇਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਸਲ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ, ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ, ਜੀਭ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ (ਦੀ) ਖ਼ੁਰਾਕ ਖਾਣੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਵਲੋਂ) ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਆ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।੧। ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੇ (ਮਾਨੋ) ਕਈ ਕਿਸਮਾਂ ਦੇ (ਵੰਨ ਸੁਵੰਨੇ) ਕੱਪੜੇ ਪਹਿਨ ਲਏ ਹਨ (ਤੇ ਉਹ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਸੋਹਣੀਆਂ ਪੁਸ਼ਾਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ) ।੨। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦਾ ਰਾਹ ਤੱਕਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ (ਮਾਨੋ) ਹਾਥੀ ਰਥਾਂ ਘੋੜਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਵਾਰੀ (ਦਾ ਸੁਖ ਮਾਣ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ) ।੩। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਧਰਨਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾਸ ਨੇ ਸੁਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।੪।੨।੫੬।  DHANAASAREE, FIFTH MEHL:  I am satisfied and satiated, eating the food of Truth. With my mind, body and tongue, I meditate on the Naam, the Name of the Lord. || 1 || Life, spiritual life, is in the Lord. The Sangrand Hukamnama Sahib ਸਾਵਣਿ ਸਰਸੀ ਕਾਮਣੀ ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਸਿਉ ਪਿਆਰੁ ॥ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਰਤਾ ਸਚ ਰੰਗਿ ਇਕੋ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਧਾਰੁ ॥ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਰੰਗ ਕੂੜਾਵਿਆ ਦਿਸਨਿ ਸਭੇ ਛਾਰੁ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬੂੰਦ ਸੁਹਾਵਣੀ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਪੀਵਣਹਾਰੁ ॥ ਵਣੁ ਤਿਣੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੰਗਿ ਮਉਲਿਆ ਸੰਮ੍ਰਥ ਪੁਰਖ ਅਪਾਰੁ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਮਿਲਣੈ ਨੋ ਮਨੁ ਲੋਚਦਾ ਕਰਮਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਣਹਾਰੁ ॥ ਜਿਨੀ ਸਖੀਏ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੰਉ ਤਿਨ ਕੈ ਸਦ ਬਲਿਹਾਰ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਜੀ ਮਇਆ ਕਰਿ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਵਾਰਣਹਾਰੁ ॥ ਸਾਵਣੁ ਤਿਨਾ ਸੁਹਾਗਣੀ ਜਿਨ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਉਰਿ ਹਾਰੁ ॥੬॥ ਅਰਥ: ਜਿਵੇਂ ਸਾਵਣ ਵਿਚ (ਵਰਖਾ ਨਾਲ ਬਨਸਪਤੀ ਹਰਿਆਵਲੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਉਹ) ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿਆਵਲੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਉਸ ਜੀਵ ਦਾ ਹਿਰਦਾ ਖਿੜ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ) ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਸੁਹਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਤਨ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ (ਉਸ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ) ਆਸਰਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਨਾਸਵੰਤ ਕੌਤਕ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਆਹ (ਨਿਕੰਮੇ) ਦਿਸਦੇ ਹਨ। (ਸਾਵਣ ਵਿਚ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਵਰਖਾ ਦੀ ਬੂੰਦ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਲੱਗਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ) ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਬੂੰਦ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਲੱਗਦੀ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਸ ਬੂੰਦ ਨੂੰ ਪੀਣ ਜੋਗਾ ਹੋ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਦੀਆਂ ਨਿੱਕੀਆਂ ਨਿੱਕੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਭੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਿੱਠੀਆਂ ਲੱਗਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਬੜੇ ਸ਼ੌਕ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਣਦਾ ਹੈ) । ਜਿਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਮੇਲ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਰਾ ਜਗਤ (ਬਨਸਪਤੀ ਆਦਿਕ) ਹਰਿਆ-ਭਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਨ ਜੋਗਾ ਹੈ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਭੀ ਤਾਂਘਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾਣ ਦੇ ਸਮਰੱਥ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਸਹੇਲੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਹਾਂ, ਸਦਾ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰ ਤੇ ਆਖ–) ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ, ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ (ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਨੂੰ) ਸਵਾਰਨ ਜੋਗਾ ਹੈਂ। ਸਾਵਣ ਦਾ ਮਹੀਨਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ (ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀਆਂ) ਵਾਸਤੇ (ਖੇੜਾ ਤੇ ਠੰਡ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ) ਹੈ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ (ਰੂਪ ਗਲ) ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ (-ਰੂਪ) ਹਾਰ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।6।  In the month of Saawan, the soul-bride is happy, if she falls in love with the Lotus Feet of the Lord.  Her mind and body are imbued with the Love of the True One; His Name is her only Support.   The pleasures of corruption are false. All that is seen shall turn to ashes.   The drops of the Lord's Nectar are so beautiful! Meeting the Holy Saint, we drink these in.  The forests and the meadows are rejuvenated and refreshed with the Love of God, the All-powerful, Infinite Primal Being.  My mind yearns to meet the Lord. The daily Hukamnama sahib from sri Darbar Sahib Amritsar including Punjabi and English translation audio ਧਨਾਸਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੪ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਬੂੰਦ ਭਏ ਹਰਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹਮ ਚਾਤ੍ਰਿਕ ਬਿਲਲ ਬਿਲਲਾਤੀ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅਪਨੀ ਮੁਖਿ ਦੇਵਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਿਮਖਾਤੀ ॥੧॥ ਹਰਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਰਹਿ ਨ ਸਕਉ ਇਕ ਰਾਤੀ ॥ ਜਿਉ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਮਲੈ ਅਮਲੀ ਮਰਿ ਜਾਈ ਹੈ ਤਿਉ ਹਰਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਹਮ ਮਰਿ ਜਾਤੀ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ਤੁਮ ਹਰਿ ਸਰਵਰ ਅਤਿ ਅਗਾਹ ਹਮ ਲਹਿ ਨ ਸਕਹਿ ਅੰਤੁ ਮਾਤੀ ॥ ਤੂ ਪਰੈ ਪਰੈ ਅਪਰੰਪਰੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਮਿਤਿ ਜਾਨਹੁ ਆਪਨ ਗਾਤੀ ॥੨॥ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿਓ ਗੁਰ ਰੰਗਿ ਚਲੂਲੈ ਰਾਤੀ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਬਨੀ ਅਤਿ ਸੋਭਾ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿਓ ਊਤਮ ਪਾਤੀ ॥੩॥ ਆਪੇ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਆਪੇ ਸੇਵਕੁ ਆਪਿ ਬਨਾਵੈ ਭਾਤੀ ॥ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਜਨੁ ਤੁਮਰੀ ਸਰਣਾਈ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਲਾਜ ਭਗਾਤੀ ॥੪॥੫॥  ਅਰਥ: ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਮੈਂ ਰਤਾ ਭਰ ਸਮੇ ਲਈ ਭੀ ਰਹਿ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ। ਜਿਵੇਂ (ਅਫ਼ੀਮ ਆਦਿਕ) ਨਸ਼ੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਅਮਲੀ (ਨਸ਼ੇ ਦਾ ਆਦੀ) ਮਨੁੱਖ ਤੜਫ਼ ਉੱਠਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਮੈਂ ਘਬਰਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ।ਰਹਾਉ। ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਮੈਂ ਪਪੀਹਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ-ਬੂੰਦ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਤੜਫ਼ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ। (ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ) , ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ (ਸ੍ਵਾਂਤੀ-) ਬੂੰਦ ਬਣ ਜਾਏ। ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਆਪਣੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ, ਅੱਖ ਦੇ ਝਮਕਣ ਜਿਤਨੇ ਸਮੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿਚ (ਆਪਣੀ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਸ੍ਵਾਂਤੀ) ਬੂੰਦ ਪਾ ਦੇ।੧। ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੂੰ (ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ) ਬੜਾ ਹੀ ਡੂੰਘਾ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਹੈਂ, ਅਸੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਡੂੰਘਾਈ ਦਾ ਅੰਤ ਰਤਾ ਭਰ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਭ ਸਕਦੇ। ਤੂੰ ਪਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਪਰੇ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਹੈਂ। ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਤੂੰ ਕਿਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ ਤੇ ਕਿਤਨਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੈਂ-ਇਹ ਭੇਤ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈਂ।੨। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆ, ਉਹ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ (ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੇ ਹੋਏ) ਗੂੜ੍ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੇ ਗਏ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਦਾ ਰੰਗ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਲੋਕ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ) ਬੜੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਮਿਲੀ। ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਤਮ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਈ।੩। ਪਰ, ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਵਿਓਂਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਬਣਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਢੋ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਢੁਕਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ) , ਉਹ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸੇਵਕ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰਾ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਨ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ। ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈਂ।੪।੫।  DHANAASAREE, FOURTH MEHL:  The Lord, Har, Har, is the rain-drop; I am the song-bird, crying, crying out for it. O Lord God, please bless me with Your Mercy, and pour Your Name into my mouth, even if for only an instant. || 1 || Without the Lord, I cannot live for even a second. Like the addict who dies without his drug, I die without the Lord. || Pause || You, Lord, are the deepest, most unfathomable ocean; I cannot find even a trace of Your limits. You are the most remote of the remote, limitless and transcendent; O Lord Master, You alone know Your state and extent. || 2 || The Lord’s humble Saints meditate on the Lord; they are imbued with the deep crimson color of the Guru’s Love. Meditating on the Lord, they attain great glory, and the most sublime honor. || 3 || He Himself is the Lord and Master, and He Himself is the servant; He Himself creates His environments. The daily Hukamnama Sahib from Sri Darbar Sahib Amritsar including English and Punjabi translation audiooਸਲੋਕੁ ਮਃ ੪ ॥ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਅਗਿਆਨੁ ਭਈ ਮਤਿ ਮਧਿਮ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਪਰਤੀਤਿ ਨਾਹੀ ॥ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਕਪਟੁ ਸਭੁ ਕਪਟੋ ਕਰਿ ਜਾਣੈ ਕਪਟੇ ਖਪਹਿ ਖਪਾਹੀ ॥ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਭਾਣਾ ਚਿਤਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਆਪਣੈ ਸੁਆਇ ਫਿਰਾਹੀ ॥ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੇ ਜੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਤਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਮਾਹੀ ॥੧॥ਮਃ ੪ ॥ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹਿ ਵਿਆਪੇ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ਮਨੂਆ ਥਿਰੁ ਨਾਹਿ ॥ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਜਲਤ ਰਹਹਿ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਹਉਮੈ ਖਪਹਿ ਖਪਾਹਿ ॥ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਲੋਭੁ ਮਹਾ ਗੁਬਾਰਾ ਤਿਨ ਕੈ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਨ ਕੋਈ ਜਾਹਿ ॥ ਓਇ ਆਪਿ ਦੁਖੀ ਸੁਖੁ ਕਬਹੂ ਨ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਜਨਮਿ ਮਰਹਿ ਮਰਿ ਜਾਹਿ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਬਖਸਿ ਲਏ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਜਿ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਨੀ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਹਿ ॥੨॥ ਪਉੜੀ ॥ ਸੰਤ ਭਗਤ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਭਾਇਆ ॥ ਸੇਈ ਬਿਚਖਣ ਜੰਤ ਜਿਨੀ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਭੋਜਨੁ ਖਾਇਆ ॥ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਕੀ ਧੂਰਿ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਲਾਇਆ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਭਏ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਹਰਿ ਤੀਰਥਿ ਨਾਇਆ ॥੨੬॥  ਅਰਥ: (ਮਨਮੁਖ ਦੇ) ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਅਗਿਆਨ ਹੈ, (ਉਸ ਦੀ) ਅਕਲਿ ਹੋਛੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਉਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਦਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ; ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਧੋਖਾ (ਹੋਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਭੀ) ਉਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਧੋਖਾ ਹੀ ਧੋਖਾ ਵਰਤਦਾ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ। (ਮਨਮੁਖ ਬੰਦੇ ਆਪ) ਦੁਖੀ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ (ਤੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਦੁਖੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ; ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ (ਭਾਵ, ਭਾਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨਦੇ) ਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਗ਼ਰਜ਼ ਦੇ ਪਿਛੇ ਭਟਕਦੇ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਹਨ; ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੇ ਹਰੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰੇ, ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ।੧। ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਗ੍ਰਸੇ ਹੋਏ ਮਨਮੁਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ ਥਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਟਿਕਦਾ; ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ (ਮਾਇਆ ਵਿਚ) ਸੜਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਆਪ ਦੁਖੀ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਖੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਲੋਭ-ਰੂਪ ਵੱਡਾ ਹਨੇਰਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਢੁਕਦਾ; ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਦੁਖੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਕਦੇ ਸੁਖੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੇ, ਸਦਾ ਜੰਮਣ ਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਗੇੜ ਵਿਚ ਪਏ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੇ ਉਹ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਚਿੱਤ ਜੋੜਨ, ਤਾਂ ਸੱਚਾ ਹਰੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ ਲਏ।੨।ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਸੰਤ ਹਨ, ਭਗਤ ਹਨ ਉਹੀ ਕਬੂਲ ਹਨ।ਉਹੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਿਆਣੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਹਰੀ-ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾਮ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ-ਰੂਪ ਭੋਜਨ ਖਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤੇ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਚਰਨ-ਧੂੜ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਤੇ ਲਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਹਰੀ (ਦੇ ਭਜਨ-ਰੂਪ) ਤੀਰਥ ਤੇ ਨ੍ਹਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।੨੬।  SHALOK, FOURTH MEHL:  He has spiritual ignorance within, and his intellect is dull and dim; he does not place his faith in the True Guru. He has deceit within himself, and so he sees deception in all others; through his deceptions, he is totally ruined. The True Guru’s Will does not enter into his consciousness, and so he wanders around, pursuing his own interests. If He grants His Grace, then Nanak is absorbed into the Word of the Shabad. || 1 || FOURTH MEHL: The self-willed manmukhs are engrossed in emotional attachment to Maya; in the love of duality, their minds are unsteady. Night and day, they are burning; day and night, they are totally ruined by their egotism. Within them, is the total pitch darkness of greed, and no one even approaches them. They themselves are miserable, and they never find peace; they are born, only to die, and die again. O Nanak, the True Lord God forgives those, who focus their consciousness on the Guru’s feet. || 2 || PAUREE: That Saint, that devotee, is acceptable, who is loved by God. Those beings are wise, who meditate on the Lord. They eat the food, the treasure of the Ambrosial Naam, the Name of the Lord. They apply the dust of the feet of the Saints to their foreheads. The daily Hukamnama Sahib from Sri Darbari Sahib Amritsar including English and Punjabi translation audio ਸੋਰਠਿ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ ਠਾਢਿ ਪਾਈ ਕਰਤਾਰੇ ॥ ਤਾਪੁ ਛੋਡਿ ਗਇਆ ਪਰਵਾਰੇ ॥ ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਹੈ ਰਾਖੀ ॥ ਸਰਣਿ ਸਚੇ ਕੀ ਤਾਕੀ ॥੧॥ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਆਪਿ ਹੋਆ ਰਖਵਾਲਾ ॥ ਸਾਂਤਿ ਸਹਜ ਸੁਖ ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਉਪਜੇ ਮਨੁ ਹੋਆ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖਾਲਾ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੀਓ ਦਾਰੂ ॥ ਤਿਨਿ ਸਗਲਾ ਰੋਗੁ ਬਿਦਾਰੂ ॥ ਅਪਣੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੀ ॥ ਤਿਨਿ ਸਗਲੀ ਬਾਤ ਸਵਾਰੀ ॥੨॥ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਅਪਨਾ ਬਿਰਦੁ ਸਮਾਰਿਆ ॥ ਹਮਰਾ ਗੁਣੁ ਅਵਗੁਣੁ ਨ ਬੀਚਾਰਿਆ ॥ ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਭਇਓ ਸਾਖੀ ॥ ਤਿਨਿ ਸਗਲੀ ਲਾਜ ਰਾਖੀ ॥੩॥ ਬੋਲਾਇਆ ਬੋਲੀ ਤੇਰਾ ॥ ਤੂ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਗੁਣੀ ਗਹੇਰਾ ॥ ਜਪਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਚੁ ਸਾਖੀ ॥ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਦਾਸ ਕੀ ਪੈਜ ਰਾਖੀ ॥੪॥੬॥੫੬॥  ਅਰਥ: ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਰਾਖਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਸਦਾ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਸੁਖੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਇਕ ਛਿਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਦੇ ਸੁਖ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।ਰਹਾਉ। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਨੇ ਠੰਡ ਵਰਤਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਰਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ (ਉਸ ਦੇ ਗਿਆਨ-ਇੰਦ੍ਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ) ਤਾਪ ਛੱਡ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਕੀਤੀ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਤੱਕ ਲਿਆ।੧। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਵਿਕਾਰ-ਰੋਗਾਂ ਦਾ ਇਲਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਦਵਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਉਸ ਨਾਮ-ਦਾਰੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਹੀ (ਵਿਕਾਰ-) ਰੋਗ ਕੱਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਜਦੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਕੀਤੀ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਜੀਵਨ-ਕਹਾਣੀ ਹੀ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਬਣਾ ਲਈ (ਆਪਣਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਸੰਵਾਰ ਲਿਆ) ।੨। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ (ਸਦਾ ਹੀ) ਆਪਣੇ ਮੁੱਢ-ਕਦੀਮਾਂ ਦੇ (ਪਿਆਰ ਵਾਲੇ) ਸੁਭਾਵ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਸਾਡਾ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਗੁਣ ਜਾਂ ਔਗੁਣ ਦਿਲ ਤੇ ਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੱਖਦਾ। (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਪਾਇਆ, ਸ਼ਬਦ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਰੱਖ ਲਈ (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਢਹੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਲਿਆ) ।੩। ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੂੰ ਸਾਡਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਡੂੰਘੇ ਜਿਗਰੇ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ। ਜਦੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਨਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਤਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆ ਕਰ, ਇਹੀ ਸਦਾ ਹਾਮੀ ਭਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਦੀ (ਸਦਾ) ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ।੪।੬।੫੬।  SORAT’H, FIFTH MEHL:  The Creator has brought utter peace to my home; the fever has left my family. The Perfect Guru has saved us. I sought the Sanctuary of the True Lord. || 1 || The Transcendent Lord Himself has become my Protector. Tranquility, intuitive peace and poise welled up in an instant, and my mind was comforted forever. || Pause || The Lord, Har, Har, gave me the medicine of His Name, which has cured all disease. He extended His Mercy to me, and resolved all these affairs. || 2 || God confirmed His loving nature; He did not take my merits or demerits into account. The Word of the Guru’s Shabad has become manifest, and through it, my honor was totally preserved. || 3 || I speak as You cause me to speak; O Lord and Master, You are the ocean of excellence. Nanak chants the Naam, the Name of the Lord, according to the Teachings of Truth.   ਵਡਹੰਸੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ਘਰੁ ੨    ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ ਮੇਰੈ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਲੋਚਾ ਮਿਲਣ ਕੀ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਹਉ ਕਿਉ ਪਾਈ ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ॥ ਜੇ ਸਉ ਖੇਲ ਖੇਲਾਈਐ ਬਾਲਕੁ ਰਹਿ ਨ ਸਕੈ ਬਿਨੁ ਖੀਰੇ ॥ ਮੇਰੈ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਭੁਖ ਨ ਉਤਰੈ ਅੰਮਾਲੀ ਜੇ ਸਉ ਭੋਜਨ ਮੈ ਨੀਰੇ ॥ ਮੇਰੈ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੁ ਪਿਰੰਮ ਕਾ ਬਿਨੁ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਿਉ ਮਨੁ ਧੀਰੇ ॥੧॥ 

ਸੁਣਿ ਸਜਣ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਭਾਈ ਮੈ ਮੇਲਿਹੁ ਮਿਤ੍ਰੁ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ॥ ਓਹੁ ਜੀਅ ਕੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਸਭ ਬੇਦਨ ਜਾਣੈ ਨਿਤ ਸੁਣਾਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਆ ਬਾਤਾ ॥ ਹਉ ਇਕੁ ਖਿਨੁ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਰਹਿ ਨ ਸਕਾ ਜਿਉ ਚਾਤ੍ਰਿਕੁ ਜਲ ਕਉ ਬਿਲਲਾਤਾ ॥ ਹਉ ਕਿਆ ਗੁਣ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਾਰਿ ਸਮਾਲੀ ਮੈ ਨਿਰਗੁਣ ਕਉ ਰਖਿ ਲੇਤਾ ॥੨॥

ਹਉ ਭਈ ਉਡੀਣੀ ਕੰਤ ਕਉ ਅੰਮਾਲੀ ਸੋ ਪਿਰੁ ਕਦਿ ਨੈਣੀ ਦੇਖਾ ॥ ਸਭਿ ਰਸ ਭੋਗਣ ਵਿਸਰੇ ਬਿਨੁ ਪਿਰ ਕਿਤੈ ਨ ਲੇਖਾ ॥ ਇਹੁ ਕਾਪੜੁ ਤਨਿ ਨ ਸੁਖਾਵਈ ਕਰਿ ਨ ਸਕਉ ਹਉ ਵੇਸਾ ॥ ਜਿਨੀ ਸਖੀ ਲਾਲੁ ਰਾਵਿਆ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਤਿਨ ਆਗੈ ਹਮ ਆਦੇਸਾ ॥੩॥

ਮੈ ਸਭਿ ਸੀਗਾਰ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਅੰਮਾਲੀ ਬਿਨੁ ਪਿਰ ਕਾਮਿ ਨ ਆਏ ॥ ਜਾ ਸਹਿ ਬਾਤ ਨ ਪੁਛੀਆ ਅੰਮਾਲੀ ਤਾ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜੋਬਨੁ ਸਭੁ ਜਾਏ ॥ ਧਨੁ ਧਨੁ ਤੇ ਸੋਹਾਗਣੀ ਅੰਮਾਲੀ ਜਿਨ ਸਹੁ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਮਾਏ ॥ ਹਉ ਵਾਰਿਆ ਤਿਨ ਸੋਹਾਗਣੀ ਅੰਮਾਲੀ ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਧੋਵਾ ਸਦ ਪਾਏ ॥੪॥

ਜਿਚਰੁ ਦੂਜਾ ਭਰਮੁ ਸਾ ਅੰਮਾਲੀ ਤਿਚਰੁ ਮੈ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਦੂਰੇ ॥ ਜਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਪੂਰਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਅੰਮਾਲੀ ਤਾ ਆਸਾ ਮਨਸਾ ਸਭ ਪੂਰੇ ॥ ਮੈ ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖਾ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਇਆ ਅੰਮਾਲੀ ਪਿਰੁ ਸਰਬ ਰਹਿਆ ਭਰਪੂਰੇ ॥ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗੁ ਮਾਣਿਆ ਅੰਮਾਲੀ ਗੁਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਲਗਿ ਪੈਰੇ ॥੫॥੧॥੯॥

ਅਰਥ: ਹੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ! ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ (ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ) ਮਿਲਣ ਦੀ ਤਾਂਘ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭਾਂ? ਹੇ ਸਹੇਲੀ! ਜੇ ਬਾਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਸੌ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਖਿਡਾਇਆ ਜਾਏ (ਪਰਚਾਇਆ ਜਾਏ) , ਤਾਂ ਭੀ ਉਹ ਦੁੱਧ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿ ਸਕਦਾ। (ਤਿਵੇਂ ਹੀ) ਹੇ ਸਖੀ! ਜੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸੌ ਭੋਜਨ ਭੀ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਾਣ, ਤਾਂ ਭੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ (ਵੱਸਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦੀ) ਭੁੱਖ ਲਹਿ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੀ। ਹੇ ਸਹੇਲੀ! ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ, ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। (ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਦਰਸਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ।੧

।ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੱਜਣ! ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਵੀਰ! ਮੇਰੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ) ਸੁਣ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ-ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲਾ। ਉਹ (ਗੁਰੂ) ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਪੀੜਾ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸੁਣਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। (ਹੇ ਵੀਰ!) ਮੈਂ ਉਸ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ) ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਰਤਾ ਭਰ ਸਮਾ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿ ਸਕਦਾ (ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਛੋੜੇ ਵਿਚ ਮੈਂ ਤੜਫਦਾ ਹਾਂ) ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪਪੀਹਾ ਵਰਖਾ ਦੀ ਬੂੰਦ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਤਰ ਵਿਲਕਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰੇ ਕੇਹੜੇ ਕੇਹੜੇ ਗੁਣ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਵਾਂ? ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਗੁਣ-ਹੀਣ ਨੂੰ (ਸਦਾ) ਬਚਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ।੨।

ਹੇ ਸਖੀ! ਮੈਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਉਤਾਵਲੀ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਕਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵੇਖਾਂਗੀ? ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਭੋਗ ਭੁੱਲ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ, ਇਹ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ। ਹੇ ਸਹੇਲੀ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਇਹ ਕੱਪੜਾ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਖਾਂਦਾ, ਤਾਹੀਏਂ ਮੈਂ ਕੋਈ ਪਹਿਰਾਵਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੀ। ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਹੇਲੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਲਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਅਰਜ਼ੋਈ ਕਰਦੀ ਹਾਂ (ਕਿ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਭੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੋੜ ਦੇਣ) ।੩।

ਹੇ ਸਹੇਲੀ! ਜੇ ਮੈਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਿੰਗਾਰ ਕਰ ਭੀ ਲਏ, ਤਾਂ ਭੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ (ਇਹ ਸਿੰਗਾਰ) ਕਿਸੇ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੇ। ਹੇ ਸਖੀ! ਜੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਵਾਤ ਹੀ ਨਾਹ ਪੁੱਛੀ (ਮੇਰੇ ਵਲ ਧਿਆਨ ਹੀ ਨਾਹ ਕੀਤਾ) ਤਾਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਤਾਂ ਸਾਰੀ ਜਵਾਨੀ ਹੀ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਚਲੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਹੇ ਸਖੀ! ਉਹ ਸੁਹਾਗਣਾਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਦਾ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਸਹੇਲੀ! ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਸੁਹਾਗਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਸਦਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੈਰ ਧੋਂਦੀ ਹਾਂ (ਧੋਣ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਰ ਹਾਂ) ।੪।

ਹੇ ਸਹੇਲੀ! ਜਿਤਨਾ ਚਿਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ (ਦੇ ਆਸਰੇ) ਦਾ ਭੁਲੇਖਾ ਸੀ, ਉਤਨਾ ਚਿਰ ਮੈਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ (ਆਪਣੇ ਤੋਂ) ਦੂਰ (-ਵੱਸਦਾ) ਜਾਣਦੀ ਰਹੀ। ਪਰ, ਹੇ ਸਹੇਲੀ! ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ, ਤਾਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਹਰੇਕ ਆਸ ਹਰੇਕ ਤਾਂਘ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਹੇ ਸਖੀ! ਮੈਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦਾ) ਸੁਖ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਦਿੱਸ ਪਿਆ। ਹੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ! ਆਖ-) ਹੇ ਸਹੇਲੀ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਚਰਨੀਂ ਲੱਗ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।੫।੧।੯।

WADAHANS, FIFTH MEHL, SECOND HOUSE:

ONE UNIVERSAL CREATOR GOD. BY THE GRACE OF THE TRUE GURU:

Deep within my inner being, is the longing to meet my Beloved; how can I find the Perfect Guru? Even though a baby may play hundreds of games, he cannot survive without milk. The hunger deep within me is not satisfied, O my friend, even though I am served hundreds of dishes. My mind and body are filled with love for my Beloved; how can my mind be comforted, without the Blessed Vision of His Darshan? || 1 || Listen, O my dear friends and Siblings of Destiny — lead me to my True Friend, the Giver of peace. He knows all the troubles of my soul; every day, he tells me stories of the Lord. I cannot survive without Him, even for an instant. I cry out for Him, as the song-bird cries for water. Which of Your Excellent Virtues should I contemplate? You save even worthless beings like me. || 2 || I have become sad and depressed, longing for my Husband Lord, O my friend; when will I see my Husband with my eyes? I have forgotten how to enjoy all pleasures; without my Husband Lord, they are of no use at all. These clothes do not bring my body any pleasure; I cannot dress myself. I bow to those friends of mine, who have enjoyed their Beloved Husband Lord. || 3 || I have adorned myself with all sorts of decorations, O my friend, but without my Husband Lord, they are of no use at all. When my Husband does not care for me, O my friend, then my youth passes away, totally useless. Blessed, blessed are the happy soul-brides, O my friend, who are immersed in their Husband Lord. I am a sacrifice to those happy soul-brides, O my friend; I wash their feet forever. || 4 || As long as I suffered from duality and doubt, O my friend, I thought that God was far away. But when I met the Perfect True Guru, O my friend, then all my hopes and desires were fulfilled. I have obtained all pleasures and comforts, O my friend; my Husband Lord is all-pervading everywhere. Servant Nanak enjoys the Lord’s Love, O my friend; I fall at the feet of the Guru, the True Guru. || 5 || 1 || 9 ||
